Can you remember the Variety Shows which were staged in Datchworth?

They were started in the 1960’s by Jessie Little, and were originally performed in the Sports Club but soon transferred to the village hall.

They were regularly performed till a few years ago.

Jessie was ably helped by many villagers – the original crew included John McCluskey and his wife, Val Brisley, Caroline Morris, Derek Scott, Arlene Thody, Irene Bunce, (“she was a very talented actress and had a beautiful voice”) and Maureen Harris who helped produce it.

We’ve dug out some old photos, and would like your help in putting names to faces.
