Datchworth Village Hall was built in 1972 to provide the village with a modern and spacious building to accommodate both small and large events. It has one of the largest main halls in this part of the county. Set on the edge of Datchworth Green (click here to see map) with views over open countryside, it makes the ideal venue for:

The hall is fully heated by a warm-air system and has a kitchen brought up to date in 1993. There is a large car-park. It is the responsibility of the hirer to apply for a bar licence when required. The Main Hall is licensed to accommodate 250. Intercommunication to the Small Hall is through two sets of double doors. There are shutters to the kitchen, providing a large serving hatch. The elevated stage (with curtains) is furnished with stage lighting, available for use on request. There are about 180 chairs and 25 tables.

The Small Hall has a licensed capacity of 60. In addition to a bar it has access to the kitchen through a shuttered serving hatch. The spacious kitchen is equipped with two large sinks, a catering sized cooker with oven, refrigerator, and micro- wave cooker.  There are cups, saucers and plates for about 80 people, but no cutlery. There is also a small ‘committee room’ for private meetings.
