This ten-second animation contains 159 pictures, taken about 20 metres apart over a 3 kilometre circular route through the lanes of Datchworth.

Shown here at 17 frames/second they give the illusion of moving at Mach 1, the speed of sound, 340 metres/second.

The individual images were taken on 20 August 2006, using a Sony-Ericsson mobile phone, then reduced to 360x270 pixels, and animated with Javascript.
